The Industrial Training Centre (ITC) was established in 1986 through a Government-to-Government agreement between the Republic of Zambia and Federal Republic of Germany. The objective in establishing the ITC was to develop hands-on, dedicated craftsmen for the Zambian manufacturing, transport and service industries.

Do you do trade tests in mechanics or Logistics?
i was trained at itc and i have a diploma in motor vehicle systems.i have been further trained by a leading manufacturer of motorcycles and power products such as electric generators,water pumps e.t.c,i feel that itc can provide programs in repair of motorcycles because they are a growing means of transport not only in zambia but in neighboring countries a swell.given a chance,i can spearhead an intensive course in motorcycle technology at the institution.the government and n.g.os can send personnel to train not only as riders but mechanics also.one can argue that any mechanic can fix any vehicle but an in depth understanding of the vehicle systems both in theory and practice is vital.the course can be divided in two,the first course can be basic maintenance,this course is suitable for the riders themselves.the second course is an intensive training in maintenance and repairs,this can be divided in two,chassis and engine system respectively.
